The Carroll County Farm has other responsibilities along with all the farming that it does. One of those responsibilities is the Water Department which supplies water for the County Complex and about 40 customers in the Ossipee Village. The Water Department treats and distributes water to all its customers. They also maintain the fire hydrants through out the system. Quarterly all the water meters need to be read so billing can take place and this is done by the farm crew also. The State of New Hampshire regulates what the water needs to be tested for and when it needs to be
tested. The farm crew has to be licensed through the state to do what they do with the water. These licenses require on going training in order to renew them every two years. The farm crew goes to classes for the training to maintain there licenses and to stay on top of the newest things in order to offer high quality service to their customers.
