Carroll County Farmer Survey
Appointed by the county Commissioners, the Land Advisory Committee was asked to “search for the optimal use or uses of Carroll County’s 894 agricultural acres and buildings for the benefit of Carroll County residents and taxpayers”.
Public listening sessions produced many ideas which fit under the umbrella of:
“What role might the County Farm play in developing a more robust local food system within Carroll County?”
This survey’s purpose is to determine the interest in private use of the currently under-utilized resources of the property known as the “County Farm”.
How can you benefit?
• Could you increase your profits by turning produce into value added products?
• Could you benefit from extra pasture or buildings?
• Could you use a high tunnel?
