Full-Time Communication Specialist Position
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has immediate openings for full-time Communication Specialists. Our Specialists gather essential information from New Hampshire 911, the general public and other Police/Fire/EMS agencies in order to appropriately dispatch first responders for emergency and non-emergency situations.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is a 24/7 Emergency Communication Center with non-rotating shifts, as well as holiday and weekend assignments. CCSO dispatches for over 30 Police/Fire and EMS agencies within Carroll County. This position will start at $18.75 per hour and will increase upon completion of the probation period. We offer a competitive benefits package and participate in the NH Retirement Plan.
Minimum qualifications: a High School Diploma (or equivalent); knowledge of and experience with computers; typing skills; the ability to communicate well with the public; maintain self-control during emergency situations, speak clearly and coherently utilizing radio consoles and multitask.
